Goulash

Here’s a simple stovetop recipe to serve 6.

1 to 1½ pounds hamburger or ground venison
1 15 ounce can of tomatoes, (whole, crushed, or diced are okay)
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon pepper
½ onion – chopped (optional)
1½ cups uncooked macaroni

Brown meat in large skillet over medium heat until no longer pink.
While meat is browning, cook macaroni as directed on package and drain water.
Drain grease off the meat.
Add tomatoes, salt, pepper, and onion to the meat. Simmer on low to medium-low heat. If tomatoes are whole, break them up while they simmer.
Add macaroni to meat mixture and simmer 5-10 minutes more.

Serve with a side salad and some fresh or canned fruit.
