In 2020, North Liberty Community Pantry is celebrating 35 years of feeding friends and neighbors in our community! In 1985, NLCP began out of a closet in the First United Methodist Church of North Liberty, serving only a few families prebagged groceries.
Today, NLCP serves 763 families, 2,371 individuals, and gives 427,714 POUNDS of food each year! Recently, North Liberty and the surrounding towns served by NLCP have been growing fast. As our community grows, and rents rise, so too does food insecurity.
Keep NLCP sustainable! Our goal is to go from 25 individuals making an automatic monthly gift, to 35 individuals in celebration of our 35th year!
