All November: Giving Tuesday Challenge
You saved on Black Friday, and Cyber Monday, be sure to pay those savings forward on Giving Tuesday! Giving Tuesday is a world wide event the Tuesday after Thanksgiving in which all are encouraged to remember the meaning of the season, reflect on all we are thankful for, and make a difference for the organizations we care about most. November 9th: Scouting For Food
Each year the Scouts goes around town to collect food for their local pantry! If you live in the North Liberty Area, they likely have already gone to your door. On November 9th they will pick up all of the food and deliver it to the Pantry. Be prepared!
November 11th and November 25th: Open Volunteer Time
The second and fourth Monday of every month NLCP offers open volunteer time from 3:30PM-6PM. This is a perfect opportunity to get a taste of the Pantry volunteer life without the commitment! Drop-ins are welcome and so are volunteers of all ages.
November 12th: Crockpot Cook-Off
Participating Pantry Families will be given a free Crockpot to keep. Each participant will compete using their favorite soup, stew, chili, or gumbo recipes. Deadline and voting on the winner happens November 12th.
November 15th: National Philanthropy Day
This is an official, national holiday! We encourage all in our community to volunteer, donate, or give back in anyway they see fit.
