All May: National Women’s Health Month

May is National Women’s Health Month! North Liberty Community Pantry is collecting feminine hygiene products, monetary donations, diapers, adult absorbent products, and everything else needed to help promote women’s health.
Help us raise $2,000 in donations to purchase these important products. That it is slightly more than one dollar for every woman we serve. We hope you join us during this important month in any way you best can!

Women’s Health Month is not only a drive/fundraiser, it is also an important awareness campaign. Stay tuned for regular informational posts, videos, and statistics that demonstrate the importance of women’s health, especially as it impacts those experiencing poverty. Fundraiser Link HERE.

May 6th – May 11th: Spring Family Surveys

Twice a year NLCP conducts Family Surveys to learn more about our the needs of the people who use our services. Throughout the week we will ask Pantry family members to participate in our optional survey and ask them questions about ways to improve!

May 12th: Mother’s Day

As part of Women’s Health Month NLCP is collecting monetary donations and donations of feminine hygiene products. We encourage anyone to consider a donation dedicated to their mothers for this occasion. Certificates of donation are available as requested.

May 13th: Open Volunteer Time

The second and fourth Monday of every month NLCP offers open volunteer time from 3:30PM-6PM. This is a perfect opportunity to get a taste of the Pantry volunteer life without the commitment! Drop-ins are welcome and so are volunteers of all ages.

May 15th: New Volunteer Orientation

Join the NLCP team! Anyone interested in getting involved in the community, giving back, and making new friends is welcome to stop in and go through a basic orientation. If interested please contact volunteer@northlibertycommunitypantry.org

May 23rd: Container Gardening

Don’t have an at home garden but want to learn how to grow your own food? Join us for a free container gardening class! This class is open to the public and kid friendly. Learn how to grow fresh produce in a 5 gallon bucket indoors or out. All supplies included and no experience is necessary!
