Anyone Can Volunteer and Learn!
Everyone is welcome to attend our Open Garden Times. Learn to grow food, give your time, and share in the harvest. No garden experience is necessary as we will have the experienced volunteers helping to direct activity.
Open Garden Times: Tuesday mornings from 10-12, and Thursdays from 4-6 p.m.
Come once or garden with us all season! All ages are welcome.
(In the case of extreme weather, garden volunteer time will be cancelled). Please check our Facebook page for cancellations or call 319-626-2711.
Activities will vary depending on the day, but will include activities such as planting, weeding, watering, and harvesting, organic pest control, and composting. Please bring a water bottle and wear gardening clothes you can get dirty–we have all the other tools and equipment.
