The month of May is National Women’s Health Month. NLCP is celebrating by collecting feminine hygiene products to be distributed in the Pantry. Individuals, businesses, and organizations are encouraged to collect tampons, pads, adult diapers, and more throughout May.
A capstone event in celebration of National Women’s Health Month! Join us in a screening of this year’s Oscar Winning documentary (short subject) “Period. End of Sentence.”
Family friendly and people from every background are welcome and encouraged to attend. This documentary shines a light on stigma around feminine hygiene and the challenges women with limited access to feminine hygiene products in rural India face. We will follow this screening with a discussion led by prominent area women about just how relevant this topic is even in our own backyard.
When: May 29th from 7PM – 8:30PM
Where: North Liberty Community Center, 520 W Cherry Street
This is a FREE event, however if you are interested in contributing to North Liberty Community Pantry’s ‘Product Drive and Fund-raise-Her’ the donation link is here. https://www.facebook.com/donate/1327935560678929/
